Sports Community Manager – Build Local Sports Networks

About the role

We are a fast‑growing startup creating a pan‑India platform that connects athletes, coaches and fans through hyper‑local sports communities. As a Sports Community Manager you will be the on‑ground champion of our network, activating local captains and driving participation in grassroots events.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard and activate local sports captains in multiple cities.
• Design and run weekly community campaigns such as tournaments, skill clinics and meet‑ups.
• Partner with gyms, academies and venues to co‑create branded experiences.
• Monitor community health metrics (participation rates, feedback, social buzz) and provide insights to product and marketing teams.
• Translate player pain points into product improvements and feature requests.
• Manage 10‑15 local ambassadors per city, coaching them on brand values, communications and event logistics.

Required profile

• Experience in sports academies, fitness clubs or amateur sports (playing or coaching).
• Proven ability to engage local influencers and manage community ambassadors.
• Comfort with conflict resolution and basic CRM tools.
