Specialist III – Material Logistics & S&OP

About the role

This position is responsible for managing India‑based suppliers, coordinating material supply, and supporting production parts requirements for AGCO global plants. The specialist will ensure reliable, cost‑effective, and high‑quality material flow from India while maintaining strong on‑time delivery performance.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with India suppliers, handling pricing, lead times, delivery commitments, quality, and export readiness.
• Analyze production needs, sales forecasts and MRP data to determine material availability and support inventory planning.
• Coordinate delivery schedules, monitor open orders, shipment readiness and address constraints that could affect production continuity.
• Drive continuous improvement of supplier processes, focusing on cost, quality, delivery performance and responsiveness.
• Identify, escalate and mitigate supply‑chain risks such as capacity constraints, material shortages, export delays and transportation disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, export and AGCO procurement policies; maintain accurate documentation and generate performance reports.
• Support SAP MM module activities and EDI connection initiatives involving India suppliers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in supplier management and material logistics, preferably with India‑based vendors.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret forecasts, MRP data and inventory metrics.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across time zones and cultures.
• Knowledge of export regulations and global supply‑chain best practices.
