South Indian Chef – Authentic Regional Cuisine

About the role

We are seeking a South Indian Chef to prepare authentic regional dishes such as dosas, idlis, sambar, rasam, and regional curries, while maintaining strict kitchen hygiene and food quality standards. The role is based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, within the hospitality and restaurant sector.

Key responsibilities

• Cook traditional South Indian breakfast and meal items (dosas, idlis, vadas, pongal, uttapam, biryanis, and various chutneys).
• Maintain deep knowledge of traditional spice blends, curry bases, and regional flavor profiles (Udupi, Chettinad, Kerala).
• Supervise junior kitchen staff, commis chefs, and helpers.
• Monitor spice and ingredient stock levels, ensure freshness, and minimize food wastage.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and clean‑workspace guidelines.

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a South Indian kitchen environment.
• Culinary school certification or specialized training in South Indian cuisine is a plus.
• Ability to stand for long hours and work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
