Sourcing Specialist – Supply Chain & Planning

About the role

The Sourcing Specialist will manage end‑to‑end planning and supply of third‑party sourced materials for BASF in India, ensuring product availability through demand‑supply alignment, order fulfillment and cross‑functional coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end planning and supply for third‑party sourced materials (ex‑India).
• Ensure product availability via demand–supply alignment, order fulfillment and cross‑functional coordination.
• Support GPM activities, drive master data improvements, and provide ad‑hoc support to co‑producers in India.
• Maintain and manage planning master data in SAP; handle material allocation during supply constraints.
• Identify supply risks proactively and implement mitigation actions; ensure sourcing label compliance.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels and oversee order fulfillment and logistics coordination, including customs clearance and transport.
• Manage outline agreements, track purchase orders and delivery status, support tender forecasts and procurement submissions.
• Handle export processes such as VAT refund, COO, and freight cost settlement.
• Coordinate with Quality Management to ensure Certificate of Analysis availability and resolve NCM cases.
• Ensure compliance with internal standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Any graduate degree.
• Minimum 5 years experience in sourcing, planning or supply chain.
• Fluent English with strong communication skills in international environments; Hindi speaker strongly preferred.

Required skills

• SAP planning system (experience with SAP APO or OMP preferred).
• Strong knowledge of supply chain planning and international trade processes.
