Solution Designer – CAE Solutions

About the role

The Solution Designer will join BASF Digital Hub Hyderabad to support the CAE Solutions product team. You will be responsible for the administration, integration and lifecycle management of engineering application environments used across BASF’s production plants.

Key responsibilities

• Administer engineering application environments and manage server/DB infrastructure components.
• Perform lifecycle support including updates, upgrades, patch management and security documentation.
• Consult on infrastructure design covering servers, databases, firewalls and storage solutions.
• Manage user access through BASF Identity Management tools and provide end‑user support.
• Implement and operate license services for engineering tools.
• Handle interfaces to other systems and coordinate with vendors.
• Evaluate, integrate and support special devices and new software components.
• Provide consultancy to engineering units on integration of new components.

Required profile

• Relevant education and work experience in IT infrastructure and engineering application support.
• Experience with server and database administration in an industrial environment.
• Ability to work closely with engineering departments and external vendors.
