Solar PV Technician – Utility‑Scale Projects

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Solar PV Technician to join our utility‑scale solar power plant projects. The role involves installing, testing, commissioning and maintaining solar PV systems at various project sites. The successful candidate will ensure safe, efficient operation of the plant while adhering to all safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install and assemble module mounting structures and solar PV modules according to project drawings.
• Perform DC and AC cable laying, routing, termination and connect inverters, transformers, SCBs/JBs and other electrical equipment.
• Conduct insulation resistance, continuity, polarity and voltage tests; verify string open‑circuit voltage and system performance.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, clean modules, inspect equipment and troubleshoot faults in modules, cables and inverters.
• Follow site safety procedures, PPE requirements, LOTO protocols and maintain housekeeping standards.

Required profile

• ITI qualification in Electrician, Wireman, Fitter, Electronics or a related trade.
• Minimum 2 years experience in utility‑scale solar power plant installation, commissioning or O&M.
• Willingness to work at multiple project sites and travel as required.
• Physically fit for outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Required skills

• Knowledge of solar PV system installation and maintenance.
• Understanding of electrical wiring, cable termination and testing procedures.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, layouts and single‑line diagrams.
• Familiarity with testing instruments such as multimeters, insulation testers and earth resistance meters.
• Basic troubleshooting skills for solar plant equipment.
