Software Test Engineer – Embedded Verification

About the role

Philips is looking for a Software Test Engineer to lead embedded verification activities for its products in Bangalore. The role involves designing, developing and executing functional, integration, regression and exploratory tests for embedded software features.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute verification activities including functional, integration, regression, system and exploratory testing.
• Develop manual and automated verification solutions using Python, C# and Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks.
• Execute tests on Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) setups, simulators and laboratory environments.
• Maintain verification environments, provision devices, flash firmware and install software.
• Investigate defects through debugging, log analysis and root-cause analysis, and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for automated regression execution and process improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in embedded software verification or firmware validation.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently in Agile teams.
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Electrical, Biomedical Engineering or related field.
