Software Engineering Manager

About the role

The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading a single engineering team to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure software solutions. This role focuses on day‑to‑day technical leadership, people management, and delivery execution within a defined product or platform area.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical execution for a specific product or platform, ensuring designs follow architecture, security, and reliability standards.
• Manage, coach, and develop a team of software engineers, setting clear goals, providing feedback, and fostering a culture of ownership and continuous learning.
• Own sprint planning, execution, and delivery, collaborating with Product Management to refine scope, priorities, and release timelines.
• Monitor service health, participate in incident management and on‑call rotations, and drive improvements in stability, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Architecture, SRE/DevOps, Security, and QA to align design to release and represent the team in stakeholder reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 2–4 years in a people‑leading role.
• Hands‑on experience building and operating services on modern cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) using frameworks such as Java/Spring Boot or Node.js.
• Strong understanding of agile development, CI/CD, and DevOps practices, with a proven ability to deliver high‑quality software on time.
