Software Engineer – SAP Product Safety & Stewardship

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join BASF’s Digital Hub in Hyderabad, focusing on SAP Product Safety and Stewardship solutions. The role involves enhancing and maintaining SAP EHS applications that support dangerous goods management, safety data sheets, substance volume tracking and global label management.

Key responsibilities

• Support and continuously improve SAP EHS solutions, including Dangerous Goods Management, SDS, Substance Volume Tracking and Global Label Management.
• Participate in an agile product team, contribute to iteration planning and deliver high‑quality enhancements.
• Create functional and technical solution designs and drive implementation in an SAP S/4HANA landscape.
• Develop, analyze and support custom SAP ABAP developments and ensure robust, scalable solutions.
• Perform incident analysis, root‑cause investigations and provide sustainable issue resolution.

Required profile

• Strong functional and technical expertise in SAP Product Safety & Stewardship (EHS) modules.
• Proven experience developing, operating and supporting SAP EHS solutions.
• Solid understanding of SAP customizing, table structures and data models.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with global stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.
