Software Engineer – Salesforce Developer

About the role

Wilhelmsen Port Services is seeking an experienced Software Engineer specialized in Salesforce development to join our Chennai team. You will help build and maintain robust Salesforce solutions that support our global port operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and customize Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Aura, Visualforce, and Flows.
• Implement declarative solutions such as validation rules and process automation.
• Build and maintain integrations with REST and SOAP APIs and middleware tools.
• Create and manage Salesforce data models, including custom objects, fields, page layouts, and security settings.
• Write unit tests, ensure code coverage, and support deployments via Change Sets, Salesforce CLI, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot defects, performance issues, and production incidents.
• Collaborate with administrators, quality teams, and business stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
• Prepare technical documentation and support handovers.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of hands‑on Salesforce development experience.
• Strong expertise in custom development and integrations.
• Comfortable working across the full development lifecycle and applying sound engineering practices.
