Software Engineer – Ruby on Rails

About the role

Maropost is looking for a Software Engineer specialized in Ruby on Rails to design, build and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs that power its unified commerce platform. You will work in a fast‑growing environment, collaborating with product, data and operations teams to deliver cloud‑native solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and manage a REST API stack for Maropost web applications.
• Define and prototype architecture aligned with big‑data, analytics and cloud‑native product vision.
• Drive technical innovation, improve processes, tools and frameworks.
• Lead architecture and design governance, conduct code and design reviews.
• Provide technical leadership and ensure best‑practice standards across the team.
• Integrate machine‑learning and natural‑language‑processing engines into services.
• Implement DevOps pipelines (CI/CD), monitoring, and container orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Work with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and scale applications on AWS or GCP.

Required profile

• B.E. / B.Tech degree.
• 3+ years of experience building and architecting backend applications, web apps and analytics, preferably in commerce or marketing‑automation domains.
• Proven track record of deploying applications at scale in production.
• Experience with platform security (TLS, SSL) and high‑performance, real‑time systems.
• Strong understanding of system architecture and performance‑driven design.
