Software Engineer – Nuclear Engineering Tools

About the role

Arabelle Solutions, part of EDF Group, is looking for a Software Engineer to develop and maintain critical engineering tools used in the design and operation of nuclear power plants. You will work with a multidisciplinary international team to ensure the reliability, safety and performance of software that supports engineering activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and evolve existing software tools to meet the needs of engineering communities.
• Design and develop robust, efficient and scalable software components.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to engineering data, performance, reliability and usability.
• Write clean, well‑documented code that follows development standards.
• Participate in testing, quality‑assurance and continuous‑integration activities.
• Support nuclear safety requirements and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with international, multidisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering or a STEM field.
• At least 2 years of professional software‑engineering experience, preferably on engineering tools or similar applications.
• Experience with numerical or scientific computing applied to engineering problems.
• Background in developing Windows desktop applications.
• Understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and heat transfer.
