Software Engineer – Murex Connectivity (Bengaluru)

About the role

ANZ Banking Group is looking for a Software Engineer specialized in Murex connectivity to join its Technology team in Bengaluru. The role focuses on designing, building and maintaining integration solutions that connect Murex’s MX3 platform with the bank’s downstream systems, supporting a range of asset classes such as IRD, Forex, Fixed Income and Commodities.

Key responsibilities

• Gather detailed technical specifications from business requirements and translate them into design documents.
• Design, develop and implement Murex Open Connect solutions using the MX3 framework.
• Serve as the primary contact for all Murex OC interfaces, providing guidance and support to internal teams.
• Develop bespoke Java‑based integration components and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver Murex Connectivity 2.0 solutions.
• Build and enhance back‑office workflows, MxML exchange inbound/outbound interfaces, and support release engineering best practices.
• Investigate, perform root‑cause analysis and resolve production issues related to Murex integrations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience with Murex Connectivity 2.0/Open Connect framework.
• Strong hands‑on development experience with Java 8/11/17 and Java EE.
• Practical knowledge of Apache Camel and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience with XML‑based messaging technologies (XPath, XQuery, XSLT, SOAP, REST).
• Solid understanding of Java internals, memory management and transaction handling.
• Proficient SQL skills, preferably with PostgreSQL and JDBC.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
• Background in financial markets covering multiple asset classes.
