Software Engineer – Java

About the role

Apple’s Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) group is seeking experienced Java Software Engineers to design, develop, and maintain enterprise‑grade applications that power critical services for millions of Apple customers and employees.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, document, improve, and maintain highly reliable and scalable enterprise applications.
• Write clean Java code, perform code reviews, and contribute to Spring Boot services.
• Design and implement REST APIs and cloud‑based distributed systems.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and deliver robust solutions.
• Ensure security, data protection, access control, and high availability across all services.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience designing and developing scalable enterprise software.
• 3+ years of hands‑on Java and Spring Boot development.
• 1+ years building cloud‑based distributed systems and REST APIs.
• Experience with relational (Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB) databases.
• Understanding of security concepts, data protection, and high‑availability architectures.
• B.E. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
