Software Engineer III – Java Full Stack

About the role

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Software Engineer III to join its Commercial & Investment Bank Payments Technology team. You will work within an agile environment, designing and delivering secure, stable, and scalable technology products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain high‑quality production code for complex applications.
• Leverage enterprise‑authorized AI coding‑assist tools to improve code quality, speed, and documentation.
• Create architecture and design artifacts while ensuring design constraints are met.
• Analyze large data sets to generate visualizations and drive continuous improvement.
• Identify hidden problems and patterns to enhance coding hygiene and system architecture.

Required profile

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience in system design, development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience working in a large corporate environment with modern programming languages.
• Proficiency in using AI‑assisted development tools and evaluating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, and secure handling practices.
