Software Engineer III - Java AWS, IVR Connect

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Software Engineer III to join JPMorgan Chase’s Consumer and Community Banking team. You will design and deliver secure, scalable technology products while working in an agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, and troubleshoot software solutions, applying innovative approaches to complex problems.
• Create secure, high‑quality production code and maintain synchronous algorithms with enterprise systems.
• Leverage AI‑assisted coding tools to improve code quality, generate unit tests, and automate documentation.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met.
• Analyze large data sets to identify hidden issues and drive improvements in code hygiene and system architecture.

Required profile

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 3+ years of applied experience.
• Hands‑on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability in a large corporate environment.
• Proficiency with enterprise‑authorized AI‑assisted development tools and ability to validate AI‑generated outputs.
• Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, and security best practices.
• Solid knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and agile methodologies such as CI/CD and application resiliency.

Required skills

• Java programming language.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) and cloud‑native development.
• Kubernetes container orchestration.
• Voice XML (VXML), Automated Speech Recognition (ASR), Text‑to‑Speech (TTS) and Genesys Voice Platform.
• Amazon Connect, Amazon Lex, and related call‑center technologies.
