Software Engineer III – Cloud

About the role

Google is seeking a Software Engineer III to join its AI and Infrastructure team within Google Cloud. You will work on large‑scale, high‑impact projects that power AI models, compute resources, and developer platforms used by billions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Write production‑grade product or system development code.
• Participate in, or lead, design reviews with peers and stakeholders.
• Review code from other engineers and provide feedback on style, testability, and efficiency.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions that operate at hyperscale.
• Collaborate across teams to solve complex problems in AI, distributed computing, and infrastructure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages (or 1 year with an advanced degree).
• Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms.
• Experience developing accessible technologies is a plus.
• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Computer Science or related field is preferred.
