Software Engineer I – Digital Employee Experience

About the role

You will join Nike's Global Technology organization as part of the Communications Technology squad within the Digital Employee Experience (DEE) engineering team. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will work alongside senior engineers and a product manager to build and maintain internal platforms that support a wide range of corporate functions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy front‑end features using JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Build and consume REST APIs and back‑end services, primarily with Node.js.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to integrate AWS services such as Lambda, S3, and DynamoDB.
• Maintain code quality with version control (Git/GitHub) and modern testing frameworks.
• Participate in agile/scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of the development process.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1‑3 years of professional software development experience.
• Positive attitude, growth mindset, and strong communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented, dependable, and comfortable working within defined scope while expanding technical expertise.
