Software Engineer – Distribution Platform

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join the team behind our distribution platform that connects hotel availability and pricing to OTAs and online booking channels. You will help build new features, keep a high‑throughput system stable and performant, and drive the refactoring and migration of legacy components while upholding strong security and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver new features for the distribution platform.
• Maintain and optimise the performance of a high‑throughput microservices system.
• Refactor a monolithic application into an event‑driven, microservice architecture.
• Ensure security, reliability and scalability of the platform.
• Collaborate with product, QA and operations teams to deliver high‑quality software.

Required profile

• Customer‑focused mindset, always putting users first.
• Strong commitment to software quality, unit testing, TDD/BDD and SOLID principles.
• Ability to work autonomously from project inception to delivery.
• Proactive in driving change and introducing new ways of thinking.
• Experience with scalable microservices and refactoring legacy monoliths.

Required skills

• Java (version 25+)
• Spring Boot (version 4)
• JPA and Azure SQL (or any SQL database)
• Redis
• Azure cloud services, Azure Service Bus, Application Insights
• Kubernetes
• React and TypeScript (Shadcn is a plus)
• Distributed systems and messaging architecture knowledge
• Unit testing, TDD, BDD, SOLID principles
