Software Engineer – Azure Data Telemetry Platform

About the role

Microsoft’s Azure Data engineering team is building the data platform for the age of AI. The Fabric platform team needs a Software Engineer to develop and maintain telemetry pipelines that power diagnostics and analytics for internal and external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain core services, APIs, and SDKs for producing, processing, and consuming telemetry data.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design and use service data models leveraging Azure and proprietary technologies.
• Drive continuous improvements in service reliability, scalability, and compliance.
• Lead architecture and design of new features, ensuring high quality and performance.
• Participate in on‑call rotation to maintain service health.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of software engineering experience with coding in languages such as C#, C, C++, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Ability to work with product management and partner teams to deliver solutions.
