Software Engineer, Android

About the role

PhonePe is looking for an experienced Android Software Engineer to help build and scale its flagship digital payments app used by over 600 million registered users. You will work on high‑impact features, ensuring security, stability and performance for a massive user base.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android application components and new product features.
• Implement unit, instrumentation and end‑to‑end tests to guarantee quality.
• Contribute to SDK development and integration across the Android ecosystem.
• Collaborate with product, design and backend teams to deliver customer‑centric solutions.
• Apply best practices for security, automation and scalability in a fast‑moving environment.

Required profile

• 5‑9 years of full‑time Android app development experience with solid fundamentals.
• Strong passion for programming and problem‑solving.
• Excellent system design and architecture skills specific to Android.
• Curiosity to explore new paradigms and a continuous‑improvement mindset.
