Software Engineer – Agile Development

About the role

DigiCert DNS is revitalising its engineering culture and adopting modern software design and delivery techniques. We are looking for intellectually passionate engineers who learn quickly, thrive in a fast‑paced environment and stay current with the latest technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop services and applications within an Agile (Scrum/Kanban) team, primarily using Java and occasionally Python.
• Write, debug, and maintain code, and participate in code reviews to improve quality.
• Assist in designing, developing, and testing software solutions, including database schema and query optimisation.
• Utilise automation tools such as Jenkins, Gradle, JUnit and Terraform.
• Monitor and troubleshoot software performance issues with team support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of software development experience (internships or personal projects are acceptable).
• Familiarity with Java (Python is a plus) and basic understanding of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Exposure to Unix/Linux environments and eagerness to learn RESTful APIs, micro‑services and cloud concepts.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and willingness to ask questions and seek help.
