Software Development Engineer III – React Native

About the role

Kotak Mahindra Bank is looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer III to lead the design and delivery of React Native mobile applications. Reporting to the Head of Product Engineering, you will work on innovative banking solutions for Android and iOS platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to refine UI concepts and translate them into functional mobile experiences.
• Develop highly responsive UI components using React Native, JavaScript, and modern front‑end practices.
• Write clean, maintainable code following React Native workflows and integrate state management tools such as Redux, Hooks, and Flux.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimise mobile performance, ensuring smooth user interactions.
• Design and maintain a reusable component library and convert Figma designs into pixel‑perfect mobile screens.
• Document changes, monitor performance metrics, and contribute to continuous improvement of the mobile architecture.

Required profile

• 6‑9 years of professional software development experience, with at least 5 years focused on React Native.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML and Responsive Web Design.
• Proficiency with React Native tooling, including Redux, Hooks, Flux, and mobile debugging utilities.
• Experience in mobile UI/UX design and familiarity with performance testing frameworks such as Mocha and Jest.
