SOC Cybersecurity Specialist – Advisory (Gurgaon)

About the role

PwC’s Cybersecurity and Privacy services team is looking for a specialist to deliver end‑to‑end security solutions for clients. You will work on protecting client systems and data across a range of domains, applying a broad understanding of cybersecurity principles.

Key responsibilities

• Round‑the‑clock threat monitoring, detection and analysis of suspicious behavior.
• Alert triage, incident validation, prioritisation and creation of incidents according to SOPs.
• Reporting, escalation to stakeholders and post‑incident analysis.
• Develop and maintain incident‑management policies, preserve artefacts for forensic use and ensure SLA/KPI compliance.
• Drive reduction of Mean Time to Detection (MTTD) and Mean Time to Response (MTTR).

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience in SOC, incident management, incident response, threat detection engineering, vulnerability management or related areas.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified SOC Analyst, CEH, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+ or GIAC Certified Incident Handler are preferred.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SOC platforms and SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk).
• Threat hunting, threat intelligence management and automation of security workflows.
• Vulnerability management, asset integration and security alert preservation.
• Strong knowledge of incident response playbooks and security monitoring processes.
