Skywise Developer

About the role

Airbus is seeking a Skywise Developer to join its Digital Transformation team in Bangalore. You will work on end‑to‑end data‑value chain solutions that enable Airbus to capture, process, and visualize data from aircraft, customers, suppliers, and third‑party sources.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build data engineering, integration, and analytics solutions within the Skywise framework.
• Develop full‑stack applications using PySpark for back‑end processing and JavaScript/TypeScript for front‑end interfaces.
• Collaborate with product owners and business functions to translate requirements into scalable data products.
• Participate in the full delivery lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, documentation, and support.
• Maintain code repositories, data lineage, pipeline builders, and access management tools.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate or graduate degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
• 4‑6 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong understanding of software design principles and experience delivering applications at scale.
• Curious mindset, attention to detail, and a passion for continuous learning.

Required skills

• Python, PySpark, SQL, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• REST APIs and big‑data architecture concepts
• Version control (GitHub), artifact management (Artifactory), and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence)
• Experience with AWS cloud services (preferred)
• Familiarity with Palantir Foundry, Ontology Manager, Code Authoring, Pipeline Builder, Slate, Workshop, Contour
• Test‑driven development and Agile/Scrum or Kanban methodologies
