Skilled Fitter – Fabrication Team

About the role

We are looking for skilled Fitters to join our fabrication team and support the production of structural and sheet‑metal components for railway projects. You will work on marking, cutting, aligning, assembling and fitting parts according to engineering drawings, quality standards and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints and work instructions.
• Mark, measure and cut materials accurately using appropriate tools.
• Fit and assemble fabricated components, align structural parts and tack‑fit for welding.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, grinders, drilling machines and fitting equipment safely.
• Perform cutting, chipping, grinding, drilling and finishing operations.
• Assist welders during fabrication and assembly activities.
• Inspect fabricated parts for defects and dimensional conformity.
• Maintain workplace cleanliness and follow 5S practices.
• Adhere to safety procedures and use required PPE at all times.
• Coordinate with supervisors, welders and quality inspectors; report material or tool issues.

Required profile

• Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings and work instructions.
• Proficiency in measuring and marking materials accurately.
• Experience in fitting, assembling and aligning structural or sheet‑metal components.
• Capability to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Attention to dimensional accuracy and proper alignment during assembly.
• Willingness to assist welders and support the fabrication process.
• Commitment to workplace cleanliness, 5S and safety standards.
