Site Reliability Engineer III

About the role

Comcast is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (Engineer 3) to ensure the availability, performance, and efficiency of its large‑scale platforms. You will work with a cross‑functional team to design, automate, and monitor reliable infrastructure while supporting critical cybersecurity initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement technical solutions for infrastructure, application management, monitoring, and automation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify and resolve reliability and performance issues.
• Provide cybersecurity support, including vulnerability remediation, secure server configuration, testing, and incident response.
• Partner with developers to plan, release, and monitor software deployments.
• Measure, analyze, and improve platform reliability, quality, and operational efficiency.
• Participate in on‑call rotation, incident prevention, response, and post‑mortem analysis.
• Design and implement scalable infrastructure using best practices and quality‑assurance tools.
• Monitor system performance and develop tools for monitoring, deployment, and operations.

Required profile

• Strong background in large‑scale distributed systems and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and set own priorities.
• Experience providing subject‑matter expertise and resolving complex break/fix scenarios.
• Proven collaboration skills with engineering, vendors, and client services.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor less‑experienced colleagues.
