Site Manager, Wind

About the role

The Site Manager will lead the on‑site execution of utility‑scale wind power projects in India, ensuring safe, high‑quality and on‑time delivery. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will coordinate EPC contractors, OEMs and local stakeholders throughout construction, commissioning and hand‑over to operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all site activities including civil works, electrical installations, mechanical works and wind turbine generator (WTG) erection and commissioning.
• Serve as the single point of contact on‑site for EPC contractors and OEMs.
• Ensure work follows approved drawings, specifications, quality plans and project schedules.
• Maintain rigorous quality control through inspections, adherence to Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and closure of non‑conformances (NCRs).
• Enforce the highest health, safety and environment standards, conduct toolbox talks and ensure statutory compliance.
• Manage local issues with land owners, villages, right‑of‑way authorities and local administration.
• Monitor progress, prepare regular reports and support statutory inspections and audits.
• Facilitate smooth transition from construction to commissioning and hand‑over to O&M teams.
• Lead daily site meetings and ensure proper documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in wind or large infrastructure/power projects.
• Extensive EPC site leadership experience.
• Strong decision‑making, quality focus and safety orientation.
• Excellent coordination and communication abilities under site pressure.
