Site Manager – Solar Power Plant Operations

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee the daily operation, maintenance and performance of solar power plants. The role ensures maximum plant availability, optimal energy generation and compliance with health, safety and regulatory standards while leading on‑site personnel and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of solar PV plants to guarantee safe and reliable performance.
• Monitor plant generation, KPIs and equipment performance to maximise energy yield.
• Plan and supervise preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Lead site engineers, technicians and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to HSE and company policies.
• Coordinate troubleshooting and timely resolution of equipment failures.
• Review SCADA data, identify efficiency improvements and reduce downtime.
• Maintain documentation, maintenance records, operating logs and equipment history.
• Oversee spare‑parts inventory, procurement and logistics for maintenance materials.
• Manage vegetation control, module cleaning, security and housekeeping tasks.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly operational and performance reports.
• Coordinate with utilities, clients, OEMs and regulatory authorities as required.
• Support warranty claims, vendor management and annual maintenance contracts.
• Participate in plant audits, inspections and performance improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing operations of solar PV power plants.
• Strong knowledge of plant performance monitoring and KPI analysis.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage external contractors.
• Familiarity with health, safety and environmental regulations in the energy sector.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to act quickly on equipment failures.
