Site Manager / QA – Construction & Power Plant Projects

About the role

John Cockerill is seeking an experienced Site Manager / QA to lead large‑scale civil works and power‑plant construction projects. You will be responsible for the full life‑cycle of site activities, from mobilisation through to technical closure, ensuring quality, safety and statutory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage mid‑size to large civil‑work projects, overseeing mobilisation, execution and site closure.
• Supervise daily construction activities, ensuring work follows design drawings and quality standards.
• Coordinate contractors, labour teams and multiple internal departments.
• Check construction materials, monitor progress, maintain daily site reports and enforce safety procedures.
• Identify and assess site risks, implement mitigation plans and support the Project Manager.
• Ensure statutory, legal and environmental compliance throughout the project.
• Deliver site completion on time, within budget and to required quality levels.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large or mid‑size civil‑work projects, preferably in NDCT or power‑plant environments.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on schedule and meet quality expectations.
• Strong knowledge of statutory and safety regulations.
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous or evolving conditions.
• Excellent coordination skills across multiple teams and departments.
