Site Engineer – Structural Steel Erection

About the role

We are seeking a Site Engineer to lead structural steel erection and launching activities on construction sites. The role involves planning, supervising and ensuring high‑quality execution of steel structures while coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute structural steel erection and launching activities on site.
• Prepare erection methodology, lifting plans, work schedules and resource requirements.
• Supervise site teams, subcontractors, crane operations and heavy‑lifting equipment.
• Coordinate with fabrication teams, clients, consultants and project managers.
• Ensure proper alignment, bolting, welding, surface preparation and painting touch‑up.
• Maintain inspection records, progress reports and QA/QC documentation (QAP, ITP, WPSS/WPQR).
• Monitor safety procedures, PPE compliance and safe working practices for height and lifting activities.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in structural steel erection and launching works.
• Diploma or B.Tech in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (preferred).

Required skills

• Structural steel erection and launching techniques.
• Preparation of erection methodology, lifting plans and work schedules.
• Supervision of site teams, subcontractors and crane operations.
• Hydraulic jacking, heavy lifting and precise alignment of girders, trusses, bridges and PEB structures.
• Welding, bolting, surface preparation and painting touch‑up.
• QA/QC documentation (QAP, ITP, WPSS/WPQR) and inspection record keeping.
• Safety compliance, PPE usage and safe working practices for height and lifting activities.
