Site Construction Engineer (Dam Projects)

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Site Construction Engineer to lead the execution, supervision, and monitoring of dam construction and rehabilitation works. The role ensures that all construction activities follow approved designs, technical specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities on‑site, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and contract terms.
• Monitor progress of dam and related infrastructure works and ensure timely execution.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders for effective site implementation.
• Review construction methodologies, work schedules, and resource deployment for efficient project delivery.
• Conduct site inspections, oversee QA/QC activities, and verify measurements, quantities, and contractor bills.
• Identify construction issues and provide technical recommendations for prompt resolution.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements.
• Maintain site records, daily progress reports, inspection reports, and other documentation.
• Assist in reviewing technical drawings, design modifications, and site instructions.
• Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in design and/or construction of dams, irrigation, hydraulic or major civil engineering infrastructure.
• Proven experience in site supervision, construction monitoring, and quality control of civil works.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, engineering specifications, relevant codes and standards.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents.
