Service Engineer / Senior Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an Engineer or Senior Engineer to lead service operations for KONE in Chennai. The role focuses on ensuring customer satisfaction, equipment safety, and efficient service delivery while managing a team of technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain high customer satisfaction through quality service, clear communication, and timely resolution of complaints.
• Ensure equipment safety and performance, and drive service repairs sales.
• Oversee service contract compliance, delivery within time limits, and adherence to KONE quality standards and local regulations.
• Manage field operation costs, callouts, and service repair sales, including stock and third‑party inspections.
• Plan and schedule preventive maintenance, optimise routing, and close open callouts promptly.
• Conduct site audits, investigate accidents, and control overtime authorisation.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of maintenance technicians, set performance objectives and manage absences.
• Experience in handling customer invoicing issues, service lead processing, and technical contract validation.
• Strong organisational skills for workload balancing, tool and vehicle management, and technician capacity planning.
• Capability to investigate accidents, manage evidence custody, and follow internal reporting procedures.
