Service Engineer – Mining Equipment (East Region)

About the role

Larsen & Toubro is seeking an experienced Service Engineer to support mining and construction equipment in the Eastern region of India. The role involves maintaining hydraulic excavators, dumpers, graders and cranes, ensuring high machine availability and safety on site.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and corrective actions on CE & ME machines.
• Lead a large team of skilled and semi‑skilled technicians during daily checks, mandatory services and breakdown calls.
• Erect and commission new equipment, monitor machine condition and plan preventive maintenance.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory, availability planning and cost control for FMC projects.
• Prepare and submit service reports using SAP and Komatsu ICT tools.
• Coordinate shift activities and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• 6‑7 years of experience in mining or construction equipment service.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage large‑scale service projects.
