Server Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time, on‑site Server Administrator to join our Kolkata team. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining the server and system infrastructure that powers Gozo’s travel technology platform.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, monitor and optimize server environments.
• Apply system updates, patches and ensure data security and regular backups.
• Monitor system health and resolve hardware, software and network issues to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to support deployments and troubleshoot production incidents.
• Document procedures, implement best practices and provide technical support to internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to improving reliability and scalability of the platform.

Required profile

• Strong server administration skills, including installation, configuration, monitoring and performance optimization.
• Solid system administration experience managing user accounts, permissions, backups and security across multiple environments.
• Hands‑on experience with Linux/Unix and Windows Server operating systems.
• Familiarity with scripting or automation tools.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls and VPNs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field, or equivalent practical experience; relevant certifications are a plus.
