Senior Wintel Platform Engineer (SCCM & Ansible)

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Wintel Platform Engineer to design, build, automate, and optimise its Windows platform estate. The role focuses on end‑to‑end automation and lifecycle management using SCCM, Ansible and Infrastructure as Code, transitioning traditional operations to a modern, automation‑led model.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain SCCM solutions for OS deployment, patching, software distribution and compliance.
• Develop and manage Ansible automation frameworks for Windows configuration and orchestration.
• Build and maintain automated Windows server pipelines, including gold images and baseline configurations.
• Deliver Infrastructure as Code solutions for provisioning and configuration management.
• Automate patching, remediation and compliance enforcement across the Wintel estate.
• Integrate SCCM and Ansible with CI/CD pipelines and Git‑based workflows.
• Provide self‑service automation capabilities for application and infrastructure delivery.
• Troubleshoot complex Windows platform issues and lead platform modernisation initiatives.
• Support capacity planning, performance optimisation and cost management.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security and application teams and work with third‑party vendors.

Required profile

• Strong experience delivering Wintel platform engineering and SCCM‑based solutions at scale.
• Proven ability to implement and optimise Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager environments.
• Hands‑on experience with Ansible for Windows automation (WinRM, PowerShell modules).
• Experience building automated OS deployment and patching frameworks.
• Track record of transforming traditional Windows administration into automation‑led operations.
• Leadership experience in guiding workstreams and acting as a technical authority.
