Senior UI Engineer – Salesforce Lightning Web Components

About the role

Wilhelmsen Port Services is seeking a Senior UI Engineer to join its global team in Chennai. You will create high‑quality, performant user interfaces for custom enterprise applications, translating high‑fidelity designs into polished, accessible experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Build and implement UI components for web, mobile, and tablet applications using Salesforce Lightning Web Components (LWC).
• Develop UI aligned with designs created in Figma and governed by the design system.
• Collaborate with the Design Architect to ensure scalable, performant solutions.
• Maintain UI consistency with the Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS) while supporting custom requirements.
• Work closely with backend developers to integrate UI with Apex services and APIs.
• Ensure UI quality, accessibility, responsiveness, and cross‑device compatibility.
• Review and refine implementations based on feedback from QA and business teams.
• Contribute to reusable UI components and shared libraries.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in UI engineering or front‑end development.
• Strong expertise in Salesforce LWC and custom UI development on Salesforce.
• Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern UI frameworks.
• Experience implementing designs from Figma and working with design systems.
• Deep understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and performance optimisation.
• Proven ability to collaborate with designers, developers, and QA teams.
