Senior Test Engineer – Salesforce

About the role
Wilhelmsen Port Services is seeking a Senior Test Engineer specialized in Salesforce to join our Chennai team. You will lead testing efforts for complex Salesforce applications that support our global maritime, shipping and logistics operations.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end testing activities for Salesforce solutions, including functional, regression, integration and UAT.
- Design and execute test strategies, test plans and detailed test cases.
- Review user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure testability.
- Identify, log, prioritize and track defects through resolution.
- Perform root‑cause analysis and collaborate with development teams on fixes.
- Validate fixes and enforce quality gates before release.
- Mentor mid‑level and associate testers on best practices.
- Maintain test artefacts, traceability matrices and documentation.
Required profile
- 10+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of testing lifecycle management and QA processes.
- Experience testing Salesforce applications, including custom development and integrations.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery environments and defect management tools.
- Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Domain knowledge in maritime, shipping or logistics is preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as ISTQB Foundation/Advanced and Salesforce Administrator or Consultant.
