Senior Technical Program Manager

About the role

The Senior Technical Program Manager drives the Forward Deployed Engineering team’s mission to accelerate customer outcomes. You will balance delivering high‑impact results with the commercial goals of the organization, ensuring projects succeed and customers stay satisfied.

Key responsibilities

• Own commercial delivery of services across projects ranging from short‑term individual engagements to multi‑person, six‑month initiatives.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior customer stakeholders, providing clarity, alignment, and confidence throughout delivery.
• Proactively manage risks, align cross‑functional teams, and ensure customer outcomes are met or exceeded.
• Maintain accurate project reporting and keep all parties updated on activity and success.
• Identify expansion opportunities in key accounts, influence roadmaps, and promote continued adoption of the Databricks platform.
• Contribute to delivery best‑practice evolution and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading complex, enterprise‑scale data or AI/ML projects in a fast‑paced, customer‑facing environment.
• Managed projects with teams of up to five people and contract values exceeding $0.5 million.
• Ability to engage, influence, and build trust with senior executive stakeholders, including C‑level leaders.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data lakehouse architecture.
• Demonstrated skill in managing multiple workstreams across technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience collaborating with engineering, solution architects, sales, and partners.
• Expertise in structured governance, stakeholder expectation management, and executive‑level communication.
• Hands‑on experience with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery frameworks and relevant certifications.
• Comfort with ambiguity, early risk identification, and implementation of mitigation plans.
• Commercial delivery experience, including change control, SOW management, and margin protection.
