Senior Tax Specialist – Mumbai

About the role

CMR Surgical is expanding its finance function in India and seeks a Senior Tax Specialist to lead end‑to‑end Indian tax compliance. Reporting to the Head of Tax, you will act as the primary point of contact for all direct and indirect tax matters, supporting the business and collaborating with external advisors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage GST compliance, including monthly/quarterly return filings (GSTR‑1, GSTR‑3B, GSTR‑9/9C), input tax credit reconciliations, e‑invoicing and liaison with authorities.
• Prepare and review corporate income tax calculations, advance tax, corporate tax returns, deferred tax, and coordinate assessments and appeals.
• Oversee TDS compliance across vendor payments, salaries and cross‑border remittances, ensuring timely deposits, quarterly filings (Form 24Q/26Q/27Q) and issuance of certificates.
• Prepare transfer pricing documentation (Local File, Master File), support benchmarking analysis and manage TP assessments and APAs.
• Produce tax‑related balance‑sheet reconciliations, current and deferred tax provisions under IFRS/Ind AS, and assist with statutory audits.

Required profile

• Minimum 5‑7 years of experience in Indian tax compliance, covering GST, corporate income tax, TDS and transfer pricing.
• Strong knowledge of Indian tax legislation, IFRS/Ind AS and experience working with external tax advisors.
• Excellent analytical abilities, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
