Senior Tax Consultant – SAP FICO DRC (Multiple Cities)

About the role

Deloitte Tax Services India is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead tax technology initiatives for US‑based clients. The role focuses on implementing and integrating SAP FICO with Direct and Indirect Tax solutions across multiple Indian locations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct user acceptance testing, develop comprehensive test scenarios, and identify system improvements.
• Gather and document tax requirements, perform fit‑gap analysis, and support solution design.
• Configure SAP DRC, eDocument Framework, and related statutory reporting components.
• Integrate SAP environments with tax authority platforms using SAP Integration Suite, BTP, PI/PO, or other middleware.
• Map ERP data to XML, JSON, UBL or jurisdiction‑specific formats and resolve validation issues.

Required profile

• 6‑10 years total experience, with 5‑8 years in SAP ECC 6.0 / S/4 HANA tax implementations.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP FICO, MM, SD integration and tax configuration.
• Proven expertise in Direct and Indirect Tax, Withholding Tax, VAT customisations, and local tax localisations.
• Experience preparing functional specifications, executing test cycles, managing cut‑over, go‑live and hyper‑care activities, and delivering user training.
