Senior Systems Engineer – Linux L3 System Administrator

About the role

The Linux L3 System Administrator will lead advanced administration, architecture, and automation of enterprise Linux environments across on‑premises and cloud platforms. This senior role focuses on infrastructure as code, container platform management, and performance optimization while providing technical leadership for complex incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L3‑level support for RHEL, Oracle Linux, Rocky Linux, and CentOS.
• Design, deploy, and maintain highly available Linux platforms in physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform, including module creation and state management.
• Automate provisioning across Azure, AWS, OCI, or hybrid clouds.
• Administer Kubernetes/OpenShift clusters, handling deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
• Implement automation with Ansible, Terraform, Bash, and Python scripts.
• Manage Linux storage technologies such as LVM, multipathing, and SAN/NAS integrations.
• Lead OS patching, upgrades, lifecycle management, and vulnerability remediation.
• Drive security hardening and compliance initiatives.
• Collaborate with application, database, network, cloud, and security teams on solution design.
• Participate in major incident management, root‑cause analysis, and 24x7 on‑call support.

Required profile

• 8–10+ years of enterprise Linux administration experience.
• Strong expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Linux, and Rocky Linux.
• Hands‑on experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
• Proven experience administering Kubernetes or OpenShift platforms.
• Experience working in mission‑critical 24x7 production environments.
