Senior System Engineer – Infrastructure & Cloud

About the role

The Senior System Engineer will design, integrate, and manage complex infrastructure and cloud services for a global Fortune 500 insurance organization. Working under limited supervision, the role focuses on delivering high‑quality solutions, automating processes, and improving existing technology stacks.

Key responsibilities

• Provide effort estimates for product sprints and service kanban items.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert to recommend technology solutions, support maintenance, and resolve escalated incidents.
• Participate in 24/7 on‑call rotation and conduct root‑cause analysis for service problems.
• Execute technical work, communicate blockers, and request assistance for agile teams.
• Improve reliability of high‑scale systems through automation, reducing manual tasks and streamlining transitions to the service organization.

Required profile

• Hands‑on engineering professional with experience in infrastructure and cloud environments.
• Ability to collaborate with infrastructure engineers, software engineers, product owners, and other multidisciplinary teams.
• Comfortable working in an agile, cross‑functional setting and adapting to changing priorities.
• Willingness to participate in on‑call duties and continuous improvement initiatives.
