Senior System Administration Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior System Administration Engineer to own the stability, performance, and reliability of both cloud and on‑premise infrastructure. The role operates in a 24/7 environment, collaborating with cross‑functional teams and mentoring junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, troubleshoot, and optimise Windows and Linux server environments.
• Provision, monitor, and resolve issues in AWS cloud services.
• Handle L2/L3 incidents, lead major incident calls and produce RCA documentation.
• Perform installations, upgrades, patching and performance tuning with minimal downtime.
• Monitor infrastructure health using dashboards and proactively prevent incidents.
• Manage incidents, changes and problems through ITSM tools following ITIL processes.
• Conduct capacity planning, performance analysis and availability reporting.
• Drive automation and process improvements using scripting (Shell, PowerShell, Python).
• Maintain up‑to‑date SOPs, runbooks and technical documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and support skill development.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of system administration experience on Windows and Linux platforms.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS cloud operations.
• Proven ability to work in a 24×7 production support environment.
• Experience with ITSM tools and ITIL‑based incident, problem and change management.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
