Senior Staff Accountant

About the role

The Senior Staff Accountant will own the trial balance for legal entities, collaborate with local accountants and auditors, and ensure timely finalisation of financial statements. This role requires close interaction with on‑shore teams, tax advisors and external accounting firms to support audit and reporting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and finalise trial balances for assigned entities, coordinating with auditors.
• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial packages and submit them to accounting firms.
• Produce income statements, balance sheets, consolidated statements and other accounting reports, making corrections as needed.
• Resolve open items related to banks, cash, accruals, pre‑payments and other current assets/liabilities.
• Manage VAT/GST calculations, reconciliations and submissions; collaborate with tax teams on CIT filing.
• Review all ledger accounts periodically, ensure statutory and audit firm dues are paid on time.
• Oversee general‑ledger analysis, close ledgers, and generate monthly financial statements with supporting schedules.
• Coordinate with other accounting towers (GL, RMS, FA, OTC, P2P) to collect reports and resolve reconciliation issues.
• Lead accounting projects and perform general administrative tasks as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or equivalent); Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance is a plus.
• 6–10 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong familiarity with PC applications, especially MS Office and Excel.
• Proficiency in a global ERP system, particularly Oracle R12.
• Ability to investigate and resolve complex accounting issues independently.
