Senior Software Engineer – SaaS & Facility Optimization

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join CannonDesign’s Facility Optimization Solutions (FOS) products team. Reporting to the Director of Software Engineering, you will design, develop and deliver scalable SaaS applications that support both internal and external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement robust, secure application architecture for SaaS products.
• Lead onshore alignment, provide async‑first updates, and manage daily handoff cadence.
• Drive DevOps best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, observability and automated testing.
• Modernize legacy applications while minimizing customer disruption.
• Embed SOC2 compliance activities into development workflows.
• Mentor the team on clean code, peer reviews and high‑quality standards.
• Collaborate with product, design and other engineering groups to translate requirements into technical specifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field (preferred).
• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in SaaS development.
• Proven experience leading hybrid onshore/offshore engineering teams.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• VB.NET, C#, React, Node.js, Python, TypeScript.
• Experience with cloud platforms, APIs and modern software architecture patterns.
• DevOps expertise: CI/CD, monitoring, observability, Git.
• Knowledge of SOC2 Type 2 compliance for SaaS products.
