Senior Software Engineer - Networking

About the role

Databricks is building the world’s best data and AI platform. The Networking Infrastructure team in Bengaluru is creating the backend connectivity services that power millions of virtual machines across the platform. As a senior software engineer you will design and develop the services that link the control plane with the compute plane, enabling scalable, multi‑cloud operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement new backend connectivity services for large‑scale VM workloads.
• Lead the development of services that connect the control plane and compute plane, improving scalability and cloud resource efficiency.
• Collaborate with product management, operations, and other engineering teams to deliver robust, scalable networking systems.

Required profile

• 8+ years of production‑level experience in languages such as Python, Java, Scala, or C++.
• 4+ years building large‑scale distributed systems from scratch.
• Experience with SaaS platforms or Service‑Oriented Architectures.
• Extensive background in networking technologies.
