Senior Software Engineer (Java)

About the role

Reveleer is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Java) to own and evolve its encounter data processing and CMS submission systems for Medicare Advantage. You will work in a regulated, high‑volume environment where accuracy and timeliness directly impact compliance and revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java services that handle health‑care encounter data and CMS EDI X12 submissions using Spring, Hibernate, MS SQL and RabbitMQ.
• Build and optimise high‑throughput batch and file‑processing pipelines for large‑scale EDI files (837, 277CA, 999), improving latency and reliability.
• Contribute to platform modernisation initiatives, including infrastructure‑as‑code, authentication handling and containerisation.
• Modernise legacy components while reducing security exposure and long‑term maintenance costs.
• Increase automated test coverage and delivery automation to minimise manual QA and operational toil.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools to accelerate refactoring and test generation without compromising quality.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior Java engineer delivering mission‑critical, data‑intensive applications.
• Strong understanding of healthcare data standards, especially CMS EDI X12 formats.
• Ability to make sound technical decisions that balance speed, maintainability, performance, security and regulatory accuracy.
• Experience working in a regulated environment with strict compliance deadlines.
