Senior Software Engineer – Data Analytics (Sales & Marketing)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and delivery of our Sales & Marketing Data Analytics platform. You will work within Elsevier Health’s Digital Business Solutions group, building scalable data solutions that power sales performance and marketing effectiveness worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and design data platforms, pipelines, and warehouse solutions supporting sales and marketing analytics.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery of complex initiatives from discovery through production support.
• Build and optimise scalable Snowflake and DBT data pipelines.
• Define data models, performance standards, observability and reliability practices.
• Lead technical design reviews and establish engineering standards.
• Champion code quality through automated testing, CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.
• Mentor engineers via pair programming, coaching and technical guidance.
• Collaborate with product owners, analysts and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure data products.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and delivering data platforms at scale.
• Ability to work independently and influence technical direction across a squad.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a passion for mentoring junior engineers.
