Senior Software Engineer – Backend

About the role

The Global GenAI team at AB InBev is building competitive solutions that extract contextual insights from enterprise data. As a Senior Software Engineer you will design and develop scalable backend systems and high‑quality APIs for real‑time web applications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, optimize and maintain robust APIs ensuring reliability, scalability and performance.
• Implement secure authorization mechanisms such as OAuth2 and JWT.
• Apply best‑practice software design patterns, SOLID principles and test‑driven development.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in distributed systems.
• Document system architecture, design decisions, API specifications and security protocols.
• Collaborate with DevOps to automate deployments and ensure smooth production operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience building scalable, high‑quality software.
• Demonstrated ownership of projects and ability to mentor team members.
• Strong communication skills to translate technical work for business stakeholders.
• Passion for innovation and, preferably, an enthusiasm for beer.
